Now You Can Splash into Summer Fun at Raging Waves While Enjoying a Cold Beer or Beachy Cocktail
YORKVILLE–Raging Waves, Illinois’ largest water park, has recently changed ownership. Bowling alley operator Bowlero acquired the park ahead of the 2024 season. It spans over 58 acres and operates seasonally from June to early September.
One of the recent changes Bowlero has implemented is the introduction of alcohol sales. According to Bowlero CEO Thomas Shannon, this addition will enhance the experience for adults and provide meaningful revenue. So, if you’re planning a visit, you can now enjoy a refreshing drink while sitting alongside the water slides! Be sure you have your ID with you. All beach bar goers are required to show an ID regardless of how old one looks.
The Aussie-themed, family-friendly waterpark features 32 water slides, 3 kiddie areas, a wave pool, a 1/4 mile long lazy river, 43 private cabanas, and more. Open in 2008, Raging Waves was named by USA Today as a top summer destination.
Apart from introducing alcohol sales, Bowlero has additional plans for Raging Waves. While specific details haven’t been disclosed yet, they might consider enhancing existing attractions, improving facilities, or introducing new features. Keep an eye out for announcements as the season progresses.
Cheers to summer!
