Free Event to Be Hosted in Collaboration with Latin (sub)URBAN Art Walk, Enjoy Latin Rhythms in Naperville
NAPERVILLE–Naperville Park District is partnering with the DuPage Hispanic Alliance (DHA) to bring live Latin music and cultural dance to Naperville at “Latin Rhythms on the Riverwalk” on Saturday, July 26. This free event is a part of the DHA’s Latin (sub)URBAN Art Walk that will take place in Downtown Naperville in partnership with the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
Residents of all ages can experience the heartbeat of Latin culture through vibrant rhythms and live music and performances from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Paddleboat Quarry Rentals patio, located near the downtown area at 441 Aurora Avenue. Musicians from three different Latin regions will perform against the scenic backdrop of the Riverwalk. Performers include Ballet Folklorico from Spain, Tambors from Venezuela and authentic flute and guitar performances from Ecuador.
During the Latin (sub)URBAN Art Walk, attendees will have the opportunity to visit a variety of shops and restaurants in Downtown Naperville and become immersed in Latin culture. Latin artists will present their work and meet with attendees in person at their own exhibit location. For more information on the Latin (sub)URBAN Art Walk, visit www.dupagehispanicalliance.com.
