IN LOVE ♥ IT'S BEEN AN EASY ADVENTURE FOR THIS COUPLE WHO LOVES LOCAL
GENEVA–Kathryn and Sean met on a dating app; it was truly kismet and immediately enhanced each of their lives. Their relationship was an easy adventure prompting an April 2021 engagement at Joshua Tree at a tiny house in the desert under the stars.
In December 2021, the couple joined hands in a micro-wedding officiated by a friend, surrounded by their family, friends, and their two pups.
As a previous small business owner, and current Digital Media Specialist for Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva, Kathryn knows the value of supporting local vendors, so the couple hosted the first ever wedding at their favorite bookstore, Harvey’s Tales in downtown Geneva; purchased their wedding flowers from Blissful Blooms in Aurora, the unity plant and pot from Branch Gardens in Aurora, and they held the dinner reception at Moveable Feast + Co. in Wheaton. The bride’s hair and make-up were styled at Lash Dash in Geneva, and photos were done by Graham Chapman.
With a baby due in April, they are foregoing a honeymoon for now, but hope to go to Ireland and Norway sometime in the future. In the meanwhile, they look forward to new family adventures, bike rides, and long walks in the city they live and love.
