IN LOVE ♥ HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS MARRIED FOR FIVE YEARS WITH THEIR OWN BAND
ST. CHARLES–Amy’s mom hired Matt in 2008 to mow their yard for the summer. A subsequent bonfire invite led to this pair discovering many commonalities including a love for music, dogs, and a peanut allergy which made dating and meal planning very convenient.
After 14 years, these high-school sweethearts got married at Riverside Receptions in Geneva, honeymooned in California, and have been married for nearly five years.
By day, Amy is a registered dietitian with Northwestern Medicine who has also helped teach nutrition classes at Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva, and Matt is a civil engineer for WBK Engineering; however, on the weekends, they perform live music at restaurants, such as Preservation Bread & Wine in Geneva and 93 Octane in Saint Charles with their band, 2 of Us.
Amy plays guitar and sings while Matt plays percussion featuring acoustic covers from The Beatles to country to pop.
