1. Enjoy the Water Lantern Festival

AURORA–Water Lantern Festival is an amazing experience where you'll witness the magic of lanterns as they light up the water. The Water Lantern Festival was voted #1 Festival by USA Today. Don't miss this beautiful event!


2. Have Fun at Oktoberfest

NAPER SETTLEMENT • October 6 & 7

NAPERVILLE–Traditional German cuisine and beer will be overflowing in a giant heated tent, with lively Oompah music on Friday and a mix of pop-polka, country, and hip hop on Saturday. Grab your lederhosen and join us at this fun German festival! www.napersettlement.org


3. Attend the Sunflower Festival

KUIPERS FAMILY FARM

MAPLE PARK– Enjoy over 7 acres of 20+ different sunflower varieties and colorful zinnias in the fields. Come stroll through the flowers, take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery of a late-summer farm day! Many adorable photo ops will be available so you can capture the perfect selfie or family photo. The experience goes ‘full bloom’ on weekends with live music and food trucks inside the gated festival area. Enjoy unique beer and cider options offered by Obscurity Brewing, as well as a wine tasting and other fun treats.


4. Beauty & the Beast Experience

SEPTEMBER 9

WHEATON–Based on the original 18th century fairy tale, this magical outdoor adventure combines the challenge of an escape room with the excitement of an interactive scavenger hunt. Hunt, solve, and be challenged as your team races against the clock to help Beauty reverse the curse.


5. The Happy Hen House

THE CUTEST LITTLE SHOP

HINCKLEY–From beautiful art to antiques to scented candles, this shop has something for everyone. The owner, Theresa, built this shop with love, and it shows the second you walk through the door. The customers really love how items are always changing with the seasons and they can always find that perfect something for a loved one or to decorate their own home. Take a ride out to Hinckley and enjoy!
