14 YEARS OF YUM | Schmaltz Deli Celebrates 14 Years!

CELEBRATING 14 YEARS OF OVERSTUFFED SANDWICHES, BAGELS, AND LATKES AT JEWISH DELI

Schmaltz Deli in Naperville is celebrating its 14-year anniversary in November. The popular Jewish deli, bagel bakery and sandwich joint is celebrating with specials and giveaways.

Schmaltz is well known in the western suburbs for its overstuffed corned beef and pastrami sandwiches served with homemade bagel chips, and lively deli atmosphere, where your order is sent to the sandwich makers via zip cord. Popular items like bagels, matzo ball soup, latkes and knishes are made in house. The deli carries hard to find items like Schmacon™ beef bacon, fresh rugelach, braided Challah bread, Nova lox and Dr. Brown’s soda. As any true deli does, Schmaltz sells all of its meats, cheeses and sides by the pound. In addition, customers can ship deli items across the country through its sister web site, schmaltzonline.com.

Founded in 2004, the deli quickly became a local favorite, being featured on ABC 7’s The Hungry Hound and on WGN’s Chicago’s Best, and frequently appeared on “Best Of” lists in a variety of publications, including The Chicago Tribune and Naperville Magazine. Most recently, ABC 7s Windy City Live featured Schmaltz’s Stuffed Grilled Cheese in its “Chew On This” segment.

“We are so grateful for the support of our customers,” said Howard Bender, owner of Schmaltz Deli. “They’re the ones who tell their friends about us, bring our sandwich platters to parties, and keep coming back week after week. We can’t wait for the next 14 years.”
