June 2012 - WAY TOO MUCH FUN

A great place to head to in the summer months or any time of year, is Funway in Batavia. If you have kids of all ages and a variety of personalities, there is fun in every direction at Funway. With both indoor and outdoor options, you can safely plan your adventure for any day of the week. If you are limited to the indoor options due to rain or extreme heat, there are really no limitations to the entertainment with skating, bowling, Rock n Roll mini-golf, Spin Zone bumper cars, Lazer Frenzy, a huge arcade boasting the latest games, and air hockey. Each is self-explanatory but Lazer Frenzy is new and indeed exciting! This is not laser tag but rather a very interactive and challenging laser maze experience using mirrors, fog, and special effects to enhance the game of challenges. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience! If you have the need to explore more and want to take advantage of a beautiful summer day, head outside to Outback Fun! Don’t limit yourself to the norms of go karting, batting cages, soccer cages, and mini-golf, but be sure to also get wild with bumper boats, water wars, and Jump Shot!! What can be more fun than lobbing water balloons with a giant sling shot at your family and friends? Be prepared to get wet during your water balloon wars, as well as when battling with your squirt guns on the bumper boats. Plan ahead - it is always more fun doing these activities if you bring extra clothes; this way you can thoroughly enjoy your water sports without being soggy for the rest of the day. The thrills continue at Jump Shot where trampoline and basketball meet together in one game to challenge your agility, balance, and coordination while aiming for shots. As Mom’s Little Black Book is always about saving money, be sure to check out Funway’s website for printable coupons, weekly specials, and of course, my favorite – group rates! In addition, during special times, Monday through Thursday, take advantage of $2 days for $2 bowling games, $2 shoe rental, $2 pizza, and $2 large drink.
