WESTERN SUBURBS–We all know and love our immediate downtown area, and because of this we tend to stay close by. Now’s the time to break out of your day-date comfort zone and head to another nearby downtown area. There are many to choose from in the area– each just as vibrant, unique and inviting as the next. Find a fun new shop to love, dine at a critically acclaimed restaurant, make memories together in a new place. One of our favorite downtown spots is Downtown Downers Grove for its countless trending hot spots and new shops, plus there’s always something new.

NAPERVILLE– Bowling is a fun way to connect and learn a lot about each other! We love Bowlero– hip, trendy, colorful & fun. Most of all it’s not just for kids! The hipster-inspired, retro-awesome venue offers immersive entertainment at its finest. Bowl on blacklight lanes. Hit up the interactive arcade. Join a laser tag battle or traverse the ropes courses (at select locations). Get ready for a day of fun, you two!
#5 | Take a ‘Brews & Yoga’ Class
DOWNERS GROVE–The best of both worlds! Head to Alter Brewing in Downers Grove for this fun & unique event on February 6 and join friends and fellow beer fans for a refreshing 1 hour yoga session. Afterwards, relax alongside your honey in the taproom with a brew of your choice. Tickets are $20 and go fast, so be sure to sign up today. Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one. #6 | Sign Up for a Sport
WESTERN SUBURBS–Head to your favorite health club and see what they have available. Joining a local kickball league or taking on tennis doubles is an exciting way to learn something new—and possibly expand your social circle. You'll also get a fun workout out of it, too. WESTERN SUBURBS–With wine tastings happening throughout the month, this is the perfect place for you and your sweetie to indulge and learn about some unique wines. Illinois' oldest and largest, continually-operating family winery for over four decades, Lynfred Winery has been creating award-winning wines and memorable experiences for guests. Cheers!
#8 | Watch a Matinee Over Lunch
WHEATON–One the coolest places for a day date is Studio Movie Grill. This place combines trending movies with in-theater dining from an extensive American Grill menu and a full-service bar. BATAVIA– Held every Saturday from 9am-noon through May, the Batavia Indoor Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to stroll hand in hand while getting to know local vendors and supporting them along the way. Held at 160 First Street with 30 different vendors each week offering unique items.

ELBURN–This is such a fun idea! Even if you're not in the market, seeing the latest design trends, home decor and architecture styles—especially of large, single-family properties—can be a fun way to daydream and also help you plan for when that time is right. Plus, if you and your honey are newly dating, this is a great way to learn about each other’s style - their likes, dislikes, etc. while creating super fun memories along the way. One of our favorite neighborhoods filled with new homes is Blackberry Creek in Elburn. Shodeen has a variety of model homes they are showcasing.
