FIGHT CAUGHT ON CELL PHONE SHARED WITH AUTHORITIES On Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at 11:43 a.m., the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Wheaton Warrenville South High School was alerted to a potential medical emergency involving a male student in the building’s commons area. The SRO determined the student had been involved in an alleged physical altercation with at least one other male student. School nurses rendered aid to the student and Wheaton Fire Department paramedics were summoned by the SRO. The student was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. With the assistance of the school administration, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a second male juvenile student was identified as having been involved in this alleged altercation. Another student captured a cell phone video of a portion of this incident and subsequently turned it over to police and school administration. The Wheaton Police Department has been investigating this incident and has been in contact with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, which has reviewed this incident for potential charges. Two male juveniles are facing charges of Aggravated Battery on Public Property, a Class 3 Felony. All juvenile law enforcement records which are confidential and may not be disclosed to the general public or made widely available. “The life, health, and safety of the students in our schools remain a top priority,” Wheaton Police Chief Princeton J. Youker said. “The Wheaton Police Department supports criminal charges for any individuals who commit acts of violence in our community to hold them accountable.” The Wheaton Police Department is committed to working with Consolidated Unit School District 200 officials to keep Wheaton’s students, staff, and schools safe. Members of the public are reminded that this complaint contains only charges and is not proof of the defendants’ guilt. Defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

We are inspired by the socio-political art of Mexico’s Taller de Grafica Popular (The People’s Print Workshop) and use our art as a platform to inform and generate community discourse about urgent social issues. We believe that art is not separate from public life. IGC advances the legacy and vitality of printmaking by fostering collaboration and solidarity amongst print artists through transnational dialogue and art making. We also create programming outside of formal education settings that celebrates and demystifies printmaking techniques and processes for the public. Our praxis responds to the social conditions that impede equity and access to art-making and critical consciousness. Parking Parking at Cantigny is $10/car.
