NAPERVILLE & OAK BROOK TO WELCOME A NEW RESTAURANT NAPERVILLE & OAK BROOK–Naansense, Chicago's beloved fast-casual Indian brand, is set to spice up the suburban culinary scene with the opening of its first suburban location in Naperville, followed by another in Oakbrook. This move comes on the heels of the brand's successful return to the Loop in the summer of 2022, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. Founded by Hiran Patel and Viral Patel, Naansense has been a long-time favorite for Loop lunch-goers, and the founders are thrilled to extend the brand's reach beyond the city limits. The first suburban location, situated at 1211 E. Ogden Road in Naperville, opened this week, with another location at 1715 W. 22nd Street in Oakbrook coming soon. Our suburban locations will have a broader menu, introducing a variety beyond Naansense's previous offerings, and I can’t wait for everyone to try it." THE MENU The expanded menu at the suburban locations gave Chef Hiran the opportunity to share many of his culinary favorites beyond the wraps and bowls that Naansense has become known for in the Loop. Curry meals, kebab platters, thalis, shareables and more provide delicious options for both lunchtime and dinner enthusiasts. Additionally, the new suburban Naansense locations will be serving alcohol, a range of tasty Indian cocktails and classics like Kingfisher. Inspired by family traditions and contemporary tastes, Naansense's new offerings aim to capture the essence of Indian cuisine in a fresh and flavorful way. Viral Patel, co-founder of Naansense, expressed the brand's excitement about the expansion, stating, "We're thrilled to be expanding to the suburbs. We have long fielded requests to bring Naansense outside of just the city, and it is exciting to have reached that point." SPECIAL GRAND OPENING EVENT Naansense is celebrating its first suburban location by offering free lunch from 11:30am-1:30pm and free dinner from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, February 6th. THE KOREAN-MEXICAN FAST CASUAL BRAND OPENS ITS FIRST CHICAGO LOCATION Korean-Mexican street food concept Seoul Taco  will open the doors of its Naperville location on Friday, December 20. Located at 206 S. Washington Street, the restaurant marks the sixth location for the brand, with existing locations in Chicago’s River North and Hyde Park neighborhoods. Seoul Taco also owns and operates locations across the St. Louis area.  “Naperville has a vibrant dining scene, and it’s only grown more over the years,” says Chef and Owner David Choi ,  who spent part of his adolescent years living with family in the area. “We look forward to becoming a part of the local Naperville community and sharing our passion great food and stellar hospitality.”  The fast casual restaurant features Korean BBQ-inspired recipes, inspired by recipes from Cho’s childhood. Menu highlights include the Bulgogi Steak Tacos  with Korean salad mix, green onion, secret “Seoul Sauce,” crushed sesame seeds, and lime; or Choi’s twist on bibimbap—the Spicy Pork Gogi Bowl with rice, fresh veggies, fried egg, carrots, green onion, sesame oil, and spicy Gochujang pepper sauce. Guests can also enjoy the brand’s food mashup, Gogi & Waffles, a bed of sweet potato waffle fries topped with guest’s choice of protein, housemade kimchi, sesame seeds, green onion, queso blanco and spicy Seoul sauce.  Weaving Choi’s passion for street culture into the restaurant’s design, Seoul Taco Naperville features murals, art installations, and hip-hop music like its other restaurant locations. Won Kim, muralist and chef of Kimski , and local artist Jake Merten  collaborated on mural inspired by Japanese anime. Choi also worked with Alex Morales of Smart Mouth Designs  to create a vibrant boombox wall installation and multilingual background pattern surrounding the menu boards. Shortly after opening, the Naperville location will offer catering options for 10-30 guests, and customizable packages for parties of 30 and more. Seoul Taco Naperville’s hours of operation will be 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. every day, with exception for some holidays. The 1,200-square-foot space seats 35-40 guests.
