GIVE THANKS WITH THESE SCRUMPTIOUS DINING OPTIONS WESTERN SUBURBS – Holiday Inspired The 10th Annual Artisan Craft and Food Fair will be hosted at Heritage Prairie Farm  in Elburn on November 10th and November 11th. Many new and returning vendors will help you prepare for the holiday season. Guests are encouraged to check out the HPF Farm Store filled with a variety of local goods plus their Organic Produce, Microgreens, Free Range Eggs, Raw Honey, and much more.  Fox Valley Food for Health  will host their annual “Harvest Moon Dance” fundraiser at Eagle Brook Country Club at the Eagle Brook Country Club on November 10th. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, and live music, as well as silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event will assist Fox Valley Food for Health in expanding their services and continuing to educate the community.  TriCity Family Services runs an Adopt-a-Family Thanksgiving program and you can help by simply donating all the holiday meal fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner. Food should not require refrigeration and should be able to sit for about a week without spoiling. In addition to the Thanksgiving meal fixings, donors often provide other pantry essentials and popular food items for households with children, and other special treats. Baskets can be dropped off at the Agency, located at 1120 Randall Court, Geneva the week of November 13 through November 17.  If you would like to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner without the cooking, head to Claddagh Irish Pub  in Geneva on November 22nd. They will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and plenty of deserts; however if you prefer no cooking, but would favor something non-traditional, St. Charles Place Steak House and Banquet has a menu just for you. They will be serving up Filet Mignon, Lobster Tail, Shrimp, Roasted Duck, and so much more. -Kristen Kucharski

GIVE THANKS WITH THESE SCRUMPTIOUS DINING OPTIONS Learn to master the holiday turkey at the Backyard Hero BBQ Master Class Series – Thanksgiving on November 9, 6-11pm at Tischler’s Market in Plainfield .  Learn to cook whole smoked turkey, smoke turkey breast, Thanksgiving Day Secret Recipe Fatty, and Tichler’s smoked sausages; and then share what you learned at the Thanksgiving Dinner Celebration hosted by Kimberly and Darron Hale on November 22 at 2pm at Belle Salle Banquets in Aurora.  All are welcome to help out with the menu and donations.  Also on November 22, Rosebuds in Naperville  is handling the Thanksgiving Dinner for you for $29/person.  Enjoy herb roasted Turkey, homemade Italian sage stuffing, whipped Yukon potatoes or sweet potato mash with marshmallow, honey glazed baby carrots, green beans, and orange and cinnamon cranberry sauce plus desserts!  Then on November 25 from 9am to Noon, enjoy a breakfast buffet with your family and Santa at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Oak Brook .  The buffet includes an assortment of muffins, breakfast favorites, cinnamon streusel coffee cake, Fran's Potatoes with roasted peppers & onions, and a “candy bar” as a special treat.  Order a classic, gourmet Thanksgiving meal custom made by Chef Tom at T he Art of Good Eating by November 12 to receive a complimentary dessert.  From 2-4pm head to celebrate a Dickens’ Christmas at Wheaton’s Castle on the Corner .  Tour this distinctive home, listen to culinary historians discuss one of literature’s great food tales, “A Christmas Carol” and how it influences today’s Christmas culinary traditions.
