Kane County Sheriff's Office Released Details About the Crime  SUGAR GROVE-At approximately 2:49 am, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the BP Gas Station, located at 9S595 Illinois Route 47 in Sugar Grove Township, for the report of an armed robbery. Preliminary investigation shows that an African American male in his early twenties, between 5’8” and 6’0”, entered the store dressed in all black, wearing white gloves, black shoes, and a surgical mask. A weapon was implied while his hand was concealed within a crossbody sling bag. The male took $200.00 from the store clerk, who had been cleaning up after the gas station was closed; the front doors had not been secured. The male then left the store in a vehicle described as the following: - Possibly a gray or blue 2004-2007 Chevrolet Malibu, last seen driving eastbound on Jericho Road from Illinois Route 47. At this time, a photograph of the vehicle is still being worked on to disseminate for potential identification. It is unknown how many individuals might have been inside of the vehicle also at the time of the armed robbery. The Kane County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident and working to obtain evidence, witness statements, and videos that may assist in the investigation. LAST NIGHT NAPERVILLE POLICE RESPOND TO REPORT OF ROBBERY ON EAST BAILY ROAD NAPERVILLE–At approximately 7:29 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2020, Naperville Police officers responded to the 100 block of East Bailey Road for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim was a pizza delivery driver and had just completed his delivery in the area.  
   
 It was reported that the suspect approached the victim, implied he had a gun, and stole and undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from him.  
   
 The offender is described as follows: 
   
 Male black, early 20’s, 5’9”-5’10”, athletic build, short braids, missing front left tooth, dark hoodie, dark jeans and gym shoes. 
   
 The offender was last seen leaving the area on foot through the parking lot.

UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF CASH STOLEN FROM MOBIL NAPERVILLE — At approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, Naperville Police were called to the Mobil gas station in the 1200 block of West Ogden Avenue for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that an offender had stolen an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and fled on foot prior to police arrival.  An officer quickly located the suspect several blocks away. After a physical altercation, the suspect was taken into custody and identified as Jeffrey S. Vonderheydt, 49, of Montgomery. Both the officer and Vonderheydt were transported to the hospital with minor injuries resulting from the altercation. The officer was treated and released.  Vonderheydt was treated and then transported to the Naperville Police Department, where he was charged with felony robbery, aggravated battery to peace officer and aggravated resisting a peace officer as well as one misdemeanor count of battery.  The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
