Picture this, the Eiffel Tower lit up at night, a decadent French Picnic on the lawn, a sky full of stars and live music floating in the air...this is Canigny’s French Picnic Under the Stars, and your attendance was written in the stars a long time ago--it is fate!
Join in on Saturday, August 13, from 5:30 - 11 pm, on the eve of Cantigny’s signature event, French Connection Day, for a beautiful evening of food, music, and stargazing. French Picnics are available to pre-order, but you may bring your own and supplement with a tasty treat from one of our vendors, Chill’s Italian Ice, The Crumbummery, Kernel Dan’s Kettle Corn, Puffy Houzz, Bettina’s Coffee And Tea, Sweet Reserve Bakery, and High Rollers Ice Cream Rolls.
As darkness falls, view the stars and planets through your own telescope or one provided by the Naperville Astronomical Society (NAA) and Northwest Suburban Astronomers. Inside the Visitors Center, NAA will give a presentation on “Exploring the Universe: Visual Light, Spectroscopy, and the Webb Telescope” at 7:30 pm. Theater seating is first-come, first-serve.
