West Suburban Community Pantry to Hold “On Par in Paradise” Golf Outing to End Hunger

A Great Way to Enjoy a Day of Golf While Helping a Great Cause

WOODRIDGE–As golf season gets into full swing, the West Suburban Community Pantry is inviting local golfers and corporate leaders to join their 11th annual golf outing , this year with a tropical theme, on Tuesday, June 25 at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge. The event, sponsored in part by Ann and Victor Pokorny Memorial Fund and Old National Bank, will support the Pantry’s efforts to end hunger in DuPage and Will Counties through onsite, mobile, virtual food pantries and supportive services to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and seniors in need.

 

Dubbed “On Par in Paradise,” this year’s outing will include the chance to meet Naturalist Kim White and her parrot Sam during cocktail as well as calypso, Latin and Caribbean steel drum music offered by Callaloo during the dinner hour.  Golfers and guests are invited to wear course-appropriate tropical attire.  Guests may join for cocktails and dinner only for a reduced ticket price.

 

Beginning with golfer check-in and putting green access at noon, the shotgun start will be at 1pm with cocktails, program,  dinner and awards to be held at

5:30 pm. Golfer registration includes green fees for 18 holes with carts, boxed lunch, drinks, dinner, contests, prizes, and more. Early Bird Golf Registration ends June 3rd. Several sponsorship opportunities include recognition, outing participation, and golf foursomes.

 

“This is a great way to enjoy a day of golf, networking, and camaraderie while making a difference for the thousands of families we serve every month,” says Board President Mary Hutchinson. “We welcome individual and corporate teams to take part in the fun while helping West Suburban Community Pantry address the growing need for support in our communities.”
