ENJOY BEING TREATED LIKE ROYALTY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
The Drake in downtown Chicago has Princess Diana fans all abuzz this week. It's been widely reported that the luxury hotel is offering a package that will recreate Princess Diana's stay in June 1996. According to Forbes, the hotel launched the "Crowning a Lady" package in honor of the late princess's appearance in the new season of Netflix's "The Crown."
Guests will receive the Royal treatment, indeed, with this two-night minimum package, as it will include much of what the Princess enjoyed during her stay. It will begin with entry into your 1,500 sq ft suite that features a stationary bike, forget-me-not flowers from the hotel’s Mangel Florist, and the official photo book of Abba, her favorite band and Princess Diana’s favorite perfume, Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant Paris.
Forbes stated guests would also be treated to a three-course dinner, a replica of what Princess Diana ate at the hotel.
According to the Associated Press, Princess Diana traveled to Chicago to speak about breast cancer at Northwestern University Law School.
During her 3-day visit to the Windy City, Princess Diana danced with former TV talk show host Phil Donahue following a Gala Dinner at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and did some sight seeing along Chicago's iconic Michigan Avenue.
The package is available now through December 15, with a rate starting at $32,000, and can be reserved for by phone only, according to the report.
