PET WALK FESTIVAL | Hinsdale Humane Society to Hold Festival After a Year Off Due to COVID-19

Hinsdale Humane Society (HHS) is bringing the Pet Walk Festival back after a year off due to the COVID pandemic. The event will take place on Saturday, June 26 on the grounds of the Pet Rescue & Resource Center (PRRC) at 21 Salt Creek Lane in Hinsdale in two segments, 10am-noon and 12:30pm-2:30pm.

This year’s festival features a superhero theme and pet- and family-friendly activities. Attendees can join the 1-mile Pet Walk around the neighborhood surrounding the PRRC. Children can take part in the Humane Education Kids Corner with an interactive game called Pet Investigators, as well as join in the Superhero Sprint. The festival also includes food options, a small vendor mall, a cash prize raffle and raffle baskets, tours and visits with Therapaws Pet Therapy teams.

HHS Humane Heroes members are invited to a complimentary Ice Cream Social from 11:30am-1:30pm where they can meet other members, pick up their name badges to wear at future HHS events and retrieve their membership gift.

Pet Walk Festival tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for kids 6-13, and 5 & under are free. Event t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event for $10. Purchase your tickets online at Raffle tickets are also available online, even for those who are not attending.

HHS will not be open for adoptions on the day of the Pet Walk Festival. Tours of the building will be offered for those interested and restrooms will remain open throughout the event.

In order to be safe during COVID times, there will be no more than 150 attendees total, split between two timing waves, primarily outdoors and socially distanced, with masks required when indoors.

Many thanks to our generous presenting sponsor, PetPeople of Westerng Springs, for helping make this event possible.

Join us for a day of fun and fundraising for the adoptable animals, programs and services offered at the Pet Rescue and Resource Center operated by Hinsdale Humane Society.
