ON THIS DAY 60 YEARS AGO | Kennedy's Visit to Geneva, Illinois



JFK SPOKE AS HE STOOD ON THE STEPS OF THE COURTHOUSE

GENEVA–60 years ago on October 25, 1960 Senator John F. Kennedy visited Geneva. He was schedule to arrive around 2:37. He landed at O'Hare at 8:00 am and headed to L:ibertyville. The motorcade running behind, made their way South to Route 25 along the Fox River arriving in Geneva at 3:45. JFP spoke for 5 minutes on the steps of the Courthouse. In 1965 a bronze plaque was put in place to mark the spot where he spoke that day. –Story & Photos by Geneva History Museum
