NEW IN TOWN | Naperville Whirlyball Brings Modern Flair with New Twists

MORE THAN JUST WHIRLYBALL

This isn’t your mama’s Whirlyball that you grew up with in Lombard! Same owners, same Whirlyball fun, but so much more!

The Lombard location has closed and the owners have built a brand new space near Top Golf in Naperville at 3103 Odyssey Court. The new ‘Games All Day. Pints to Stay” atmosphere is a modern American Eatery with flatbreads, wedge salads, hummus boards, homemade guacamole, and more, inclusive with an expansive craft beer bar, VIP lounge, indoor/outdoor dining, and a large private event area. In addition to the contemporary restaurant and bar, there are two Whirlyball Courts, Hyperbowling, and a two-story laser tag arena!

I stopped in with a group of college kids that were home on break. For kids that seem to have everything these days - been there - done that – it was fun to watch this group try something new at 19 years old! They were completely engaged, totally competitive, and full of laughs! Not an iPhone in sight as we played many rounds of Whirlyball and had the best time.

We next learned about HyperBowling. Looks like bowling but feels like billiards! Again, something new and different for all of us! Hyperbowling is an interactive experience like playing a physical video game on the bowling lane. Every ball is different and there are new challenges every turn. It’s like trying to throw gutter balls as you bank off the sides trying to hit the colorful moving targets to increase your score! The lights change, the levels change, and with one single ball, the winners change! HyperBowling is exciting and fast-paced fun and not your mama’s bowling! These new and exciting twists keep this next generation on their toes and off their phones!

We moved to the upper-level and discovered the VIP Lounge – which offers its own private HyperBowl lanes, a fantastic seating area, and modern bar! My future adventure goals include hosting a fun VIP Experience for all Glancer Magazine #MomsLittleBlackBook readers to enjoy a grown-up girl’s night out adventure with the moms of our community!

The upper-level also boasts a large event venue with sliding glass walls bringing the outdoors in for full entertainment on those warm sunny days; and the excitement didn’t stop there as we made our way around the corner to the two-story laser tag arena which offers a multitude of game selections far beyond your traditional team play. There are great nooks and hide-outs around every turn giving each a competitive edge to maximize scoring!

All in all – the new Whirlyball location in Naperville is current, relevant, exciting, and fun for all ages – a great place for adults to enjoy craft beer, wine and dine, as well as completely entertain kids, tweens, teens, and adults with its wide array of activities!
