NEW, FUN WAYS TO HONOR NATIONAL GIRL SCOUT DAY (MARCH 12)
NAPERVILLE–In conjunction with National Girl Scout Day on March 12, which honors the history and legacy of Girl Scouting in America, Naper Settlement is pleased to announce three new engaging, interactive digital Girl Scout programs for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors. Led by Naper Settlement’s experienced museum educators, these 90-minute live programs provide troops with the valuable skills and knowledge to complete a badge requirement. Programs include:
• Planet Protectors (Daisies, grades K5-1): Scouts will help beautify the world by planting their very own flowers while learning about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling through hands-on and digital activities. Planet Protectors completes requirements for Rose Petal Badge.
• My Family Story (Brownies, grades 2-3): Scouts will find their place on their family tree while learning about genealogy by discovering their family’s story through video and at-home activities. My Family Story completes requirements for My Family Story badge.
• Junior Detectives (Juniors, grades 4-5): Scouts will learn observation techniques that will help them find clues and solve a mystery! Junior Detective completes requirements for Detective Badge.
All programs are $20 per scout and are available Tuesday-Friday from 3-5 p.m. CST. Programs can accommodate a maximum of 25 scouts and must have at least 7 scouts to run. For more information about the programs and to register a troop, visit napersettlement.org/544/Girl-Scout-Programs.
