IDEA TANK FOR KIDS | ‘Stay-at-Home’ Order Revives $1,000 Kids’ Entrepreneur Contest

ANY INVENTION OR BUSINESS CONCEPT IS WELCOME

Needing a lifeline, The Idea Tank for Kids received a new lease when Illinois’ stay-at-home order was instituted in March. The previously in-person entrepreneur contest for Illinois kids ages 8-13 came back to life as a digital event aiming to reward great business ideas with a grand prize of $1,000.

Any invention or business concept is eligible, from a germ of an idea to a prototype of a product. Contestants will be judged by a panel of Illinois ‘sharks’ including successful executives and entrepreneurs.

The deadline to enter is June 25, with a fun “Shark Tank”-like finale for the top 20 submissions to be held online June 30th via video conference.

IDEA Tank for Kids 2020 is the biggest entrepreneurship competition for Illinois kids age 8-13! While it usually takes place in person, we have turned Idea Tank for Kids 2020 into the first AT HOME entrepreneurship competition for kids. Kids will create and pitch their ideas from home and submit them online. The top 20 finalists will pitch to a panel of Judges on June 30, 2020 at 3PM CT for a grand prize of $1,000!
