HALLOWEEN HAPPENING SET FOR SUNDAY OCTOBER 24 AT THE RIVERWALK PAVILLION
Halloween Happening, presented by Woody Buick/GMC, returns for 2021 at the Grand Pavilion at the Riverwalk from 1:00–4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24. This free event is designed for children ages 10 and under featuring Halloween-themed games and activity stations where they can collect treats and win prizes. The spacious lawn at the Grand Pavilion allows the activities to be spread out, allowing plenty of space for social distancing. Kids are welcome to wear their favorite costumes to the event.
Halloween Happening began in 1983 as safe alternative to trick-or-treating in a family-friendly community setting. The event has continued every year since then, except 2020, when the Park District offered “Halloween Nights Lights” as a drive-through experience in its place during the height of the pandemic. Now in its 38th year, Halloween Happening has become a tradition in Naperville.
Thanks to the generous support from more than 100 student volunteers and from our sponsors, the Park District is able to keep this event free for the community. Sponsors of the 2021 event include the following businesses: Woody Buick GMC (Presenting Sponsor), Living well Dental, Rocket Ice, Rose Pest Solutions, Duly Health and Care (formerly DuPage Medical Group), G&G Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Mathnasium, FBC Remodel, Russian School of Mathematics, The Pearl of Naperville and The Home Improvement Network.
