GLANCING THE GALLANT | Spreading a Little Joy with Some Friendly Competition

STEVE AND JULIE CHIRICO OF NAPERVILLE

What started out as trying to raise some money for a good cause has turned into a friendly competition between Naperville’s Mayor Steve Chirico and his wife Julie, who works as a Political Fundraiser for House Minority Leader Jim Durkin.

They are spreading a little Joy with each $200 donation to support the Career & Networking Center in Naperville. Executive Director, Kim White came up with the idea and her husband Benny delivers the large electrified light.

Adding a little Joy to your life is as easy as sending a private message to Steve or Julie on Facebook and the sign will be placed in your yard for two nights. To date, Julie has raised $3675.00 and Steve $5584.00.

Fundraising for will become critical as the Career & Networking Center, a 501c3 Corporation, will now become one of the most important agencies in Naperville as so many people have been laid off from work and will need to find jobs. - Kristen Kucharski
