WEST SUBURBAN MOM & DAUGHTER TEAM MAKE A FUN DAY OF OPTICAL ILLUSIONS & SWEET TREATS
NAPERVILLE–It might be the middle of the summer, but between the heat and the rain sometimes you need an indoor escape and Emily Margosian of Naperville found the perfect places to take her 9 and 13 year old daughters. A day in the city spent at the Museum of Illusion and JoJos Shake Bar was the perfect offset to both.
Just opened in November 2020, the Margosian girls were amongst the growing crowd that is enjoying Chicago’s newest one of a kind “edutainment” experiences, The Museum of Illusion, which features highly visual, engaging, and hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and tease the senses. Museum of Illusions Chicago is a place where you can “experience the impossible” and see things differently while unveiling the mechanics behind mind-bending illusions.
For tweens and teens especially, the opportunity is abundant to take optical illusion pics and share them via social media and blow the minds of family and friends. Ani and Katie enjoyed The Gravity Tunnel the most; additionally entertained while engaging in the other 80 visual and educational exhibits featuring holograms, stereograms, optical illusions, and immersive rooms. Illusions range from tried-and-true classics to never before seen, encouraging guests to have fun while learning about vision, perception, the human brain, and science through immersive and exciting experiences at every corner!
The day was enhanced when the girls headed to JoJos Shake Bar afterwards and enjoyed creative desserts that appeared to be illusions of their own kind. The grand nature and unbelievable over-the-top sweet treats including milkshakes, milk bars, gourmet cookies, and infused milks, along with a full menu of quality diner dishes are sure to please any pallet and make for the perfect ending to a visually stimulating day! -Kristen Kucharski, Photos Submitted
