CHINN'S 34th STREET FISHERY TO CLOSE | Popular Lisle Restaurant Closing After 25 Years

LISLE OWNER SAYS THEY CANNOT SURVIVE THE 'CRIPPLING BLOW' DELIVERED BY COVID-19

On Wednesday Chinn's 34th Street Fishery in Lisle, Illinois announced in social media that it will close after 25 years in business.

"To our loyal customers, friends, and family; it is with a broken heart that we announce Chinn’s will be closing its doors for good on Saturday, March 28th. Like many small businesses we have seen our share of ups and downs but this challenging time has delivered a crippling blow from which we will not be able to recover.

For the past 25 years you have allowed us to serve this community. From birthdays and engagements to weddings and anniversaries, you have chosen Chinn’s to celebrate the special moments in life. Through the years it has been your loyalty that has kept us going and for that we could not be more thankful. But with the uncertainty of these times and the ramifications on our industry, we have made the impossible decision to serve our last meal.

On Friday and Saturday from 12-8pm we will offer curbside take out service for the last time. Supplies are limited but we wanted one more chance to share with you some favorites. The limited menu will be posted to our website and social pages and don’t forget our world famous Mai Tais! We hope to see you there.

From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot express how grateful we are to this community. While this may be the end of an era for us, we will always cherish the memories you have shared. Thank you for letting us be a part of your family and thank you for being a part of ours. Stay safe and take care of each other. With Gratitude, Stanley Chinn & Famiily"

Last week, Harry & Eddie's in Hinsdale also closed its doors. Though these are some of the first area restaurants to close permanently due to the COVID-19 crisis, it is anticipated that many more will soon follow.
