The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley to Hold Innaugural Gala

The Lasting Legacy Gala Will Be October 7 at Q Center in St. Charles

AURORA– The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley will host its first-ever gala, The Lasting Legacy Gala, on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 6 p.m. at Q Center, 1405 N. 5th Avenue in St. Charles. “Over the past 75 years, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley has connected numerous individuals with causes that matter to them and carried out their legacy,” said Julie Christman, President and CEO. “As a result, we have donated millions of dollars through grants to local nonprofits and provided thousands of Fox Valley students with scholarships for higher education and trade school. Our Lasting Legacy Gala is a chance to commemorate our tremendous community impact to date, while we prepare to do even more in the future.



”The Community Foundation’s Lasting Legacy Gala is a unique opportunity for Fox Valley residents to celebrate 75 years of the organization’s impact in the community. The evening also promises to be an early opportunity to learn first-hand how the Community Foundation plans to expand its community support in the future. The Gala will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a delicious, seated dinner, and a live performance by Maggie Speaks, one of the most popular bands in Chicago. Be ready to dance. Celebrating 75 Years: About the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley Back in 1948, a small group of philanthropists had the vision to start the Aurora Foundation, later becoming the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley (CFFRV).


Today, the Community Foundation is a collection of individual funds and resources given by local citizens to support the quality of life in the Fox River Valley in Illinois. ABOUT THE WRITER
