NEWS FROM ANDERSON'S BOOKSHOP

Friday, May 29 is the day we reopen for in-store shopping! We are following State of Illinois and CDC requirements to ensure that our customers and employees will be safe. Although business will not return to pre-COVID-19 levels anytime soon, your continued support will help us make it to that day when we can meet face-to-face not wearing masks.

We will continue to offer curbside pickup and internet orders, but will be excited to see your (masked) faces if you choose to shop in person! Please check our website for our current, limited hours at each of our locations, and note that many safety procedures are in place to protect all of us.

Our excitement at reopening is bittersweet, as it is with a heavy heart that we also announce the difficult decision to close our La Grange store. This decision was made after many months of discussion that began earlier this year, well before the pandemic began. After five years in La Grange, the time has come to recognize that sales fell far short of expectations and have not been strong enough to keep our doors open. The store closes on July 31, 2020. We will continue to serve the readers of La Grange at our other two bookshops and on our website. A closing sale will begin immediately with 20% off all in-stock merchandise in that location only.
