Sweater weather is here and many local area farms and outdoor locales have prepared their facilities so you and yours can enjoy all that fall has to offer in a safe and enjoyable way. Finding that perfect pumpkin, sipping hot apple cider and tasting the fresh fall baked goods are all of what makes the season special. Whether it is an old favorite or a new adventure, here are 7 Spectacular Stops for Pumpkins & Hot Cider Fun


1. Aurora Food Pantry’s Trunk or Treat

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 4-6PM

Held at Spartan Athletic Park. Bring the kids out to enjoy the decorations and collect candy and other kid-friendly goodies. If you or your business would like to participate, contact Becky at rdunnigan@aurorafoodpantry.com.


2. Goebberts Pumpkin Patch & Apple Orchard

HAMPSHIRE–A family-owned pumpkin patch and farm market, celebrating its 72nd year in 2020. The Fall Festival is what they are known for! Offering a full day of family-friendly activities that are sure to delight kids and grown-ups of all ages. Have fun picking apples and enjoying the many fall attractions. Order tickets online.



3. Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm & Fall Fest

HOMER GLEN–A family-owned and operated Pumpkin Festival that has served the Homer Glen area for over 40 years. Lcated just 40 minutes outside of Chicago. Bring your family, friends, and smiles!


4. Sonny Acres Farm

WEST CHICAGO–For more than 125 years, generations of the Nagel family made Sonny Acres Farm one of Chicagoland’s favorite destinations for family fun. Today, the family tradition continues as the Joyaux and Fontana families have stepped in to make sure the farm, festivities, and most importantly your family traditions can live on for generations to come. 5. Windy Acres Fall Festival

GENEVA–Whether you are staying for an hour or the day, your group will surely make memories that will last a lifetime! Enjoy the Beer Garden highlighting their Fall Ales, Seasonal Cider and Pumpkin spiked beverages and Brand New Apple Cider Slushies. Also, live music on the weekends. Bring a lawn chair and take in the outdoor fun. Running through October 31st,

7 days a week from 9am to 6pm.


6. Johansen Farm

BOLINGBROOK–Enjoy the fall season with fun attractions at this well-loved pumpkin farm that has become a family tradition for so many. Enjoy a petting zoo, tasty autumn treats, pumpkins galore and more much more!


7. Kuiper’s Family Farm

MAPLE PARK–Take a country drive out to this faily favorite located in Maple Park. The kids will enjoy farm animals, tractors, a jumpy pillow, pig races, a haunted forest and so much more! Mom and dad will love the treats, pumpkins and specialty shop.
