IT’S HALLOWEEN TIME!

October is here and kids throughout the western suburbs are excited for all of the ghoulish fun that awaits! From haunted hay rides and Trick or Treat events, to pumpkin patch surprises! Here are 7 Spectacular Haunted Happenings for Kids:


1. Scarecrow Fest In St. Charles

ST. CHARLES–The 37th annual Scarecrow Weekend, presented by AAA, will be held October 7-9th in downtown St. Charles offering many family friendly activities including over 85 Handmade scarecrows, a Family Zone with live entertainment, a festive photo op area, and the Autumn on the Fox Craft Show in Pottawatomie Park.


2. Halloween Happenings In Naperville

NAPERVILLE–Enjoy games, goodies, goblins, and activities at Naperville's FREE Halloween fest for kids 10 and under at Naperville’s Grand Pavilion located west of Centennial Beach in downtown Naperville on October 30th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. www.napervilleparks.org/halloweenhappening


3. Night at The Museum In Wheaton

WHEATON–Come dressed in your Halloween costume and enjoy a Night at the Museum for a three-floor flashlight scavenger hunt, movie and crafts on October 21st from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the DuPage County Historical Museum. www.wheatonparkdistrict.com


4. Fall Festival In Wheaton

WHEATON–The Cantigny Fall Festival promises autumn fun for all ages from on October 8th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with multiple bouncy houses, a petting zoo, food trucks, music, and over 75 crafters.


5. Halloween at the Farm In Yorkville

YORKVILLE–Old fashioned games and trick or treating for the kids. Celebrate with a costume parade with prizes and awards. Hayrides will take you through the haunted barn. A great time for kids of all ages at Lyons Farms on October 16th and 23rd from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.


6. BatFest In Batavia

BATAVIA–BatFest is Batavia’s annual Halloween-themed family event on October 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. attracting over 2,500 ghouls. BatFest includes downtown Trick-or-Treating, Mothers’ Club Parade, pumpkin bowl, contests, BatArt, stories, and games for free family fun!


7. Halloween Lights Tour In Naperville

NAPERVILLE–From October 20th through October 31st - wear your Halloween Costume and Trolley past some highly decorated Halloween homes in Naperville with the option of also getting off the Trolley to get a closer look at some of the homes....you may hear a BANG! THUMP! or SCREAM!!!
