ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION | Dangerous Incident at Rotary Hill


COMMUNITY ALERT: POLICE ASKING FOR ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO SHARE IT WITH NPD

On August 10, 2019, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Naperville Police Department responded for a report of an attempt child abduction at Rotary Hill, 437 Aurora Avenue in Naperville, IL, that occurred at approximately 11:00 pm (on the 9th).

The victim reported that she and her son had just attended a Rotary Hill function in the park. The mother was sitting in the driver’s seat of her parked vehicle, while her child was seated in the rear passenger seat. As she prepared to depart, an unknown male approached her vehicle, opened the rear car door and attempted to pull the child out of the vehicle. After failing to remove the child from the vehicle, the male fled on foot, northbound from the scene. The mother and her child were not injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a Male/White, in his 20’s, blonde hair, thin build, clean shaven, wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts.
