HINSDALE | 1-Mile Walk, Family Festival and Live Concert to Support Humane Society

PET WALK RETURNS TO ITS ROOTS FOR 30TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Event includes a 1-mile walk, family festival activities and a live concert by The Millennials in the evening, all at the grounds of the new Pet Rescue & Resource Center on Saturday, June 8.

HINSDALE–Pet Walk is celebrating its 30th anniversary by getting back to its roots with a 1-mile walk, festival activities, pets, vendor mall and a live concert by local band, The Millennials. Pet Walk Festival takes place on Saturday, June 8th on the grounds of the new Pet Rescue & Resource Center (PRRC) operated by Hinsdale Humane Society (HHS) at 21 Salt Creek Lane in Hinsdale from 2-8pm.

The family festival features pet-friendly daytime activities scheduled from 2-5pm, including a 1-mile Pet Walk around the neighborhood of the new building. The event includes a Kids Corner with raffle items, fun activities, photo booth, DJ, pets, vendor shopping mall, food and more!

Then from 5-8pm attendees will enjoy a concert by The Millennials, a local band of high school and college students playing rock, pop and dance music. Food options, lawn games and a silent auction round out the evening. This concert is BYOBeverage and BYOBlanket or chair.

“We wanted to get back to our roots in the 30th year of Pet Walk,” said Jacki Rossi, Business Development Director, HHS. “With the move to our new facility, instead of a 5K run, we’ll have a short walk for the animals throughout our new neighborhood. All of the attractions people have come to love at Pet Walk will be here, plus the bonus of The Millennials in concert on our front lawn in the early evening. This is going to be a great event for families.”

Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for kids 6-13, and 5 & under are free. Event t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event only for $10. Purchase your tickets online at www.hinsdalehumanesociety.org.

Adoption hours during the festival are from 10am-2pm. Visit adoptable cats in the PRRC’s Roger & Julie Davis Cat Lodge from 2-5pm. The Foley & Schlosser Training Center, Elinor & Jake Brickman Education Center and the lobby and restrooms will remain open throughout the event.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors for helping make this event possible: Presenting Sponsor, Oak Brook Kennel Club, and Hanley, Flight & Zimmerman, West Suburban Veterinary Associates, Baird & Warner, Donation Realty, Mavco Insurance, Republic Bank, Shirey Cadillac, Village Veterinary Practice, Animal Hospital of Western Springs, Hinsdale Animal Hospital, Animal Care Center of Downers Grove, Willowgrove Pet Clinic and Orangetheory of LaGrange.

Join us for an afternoon and evening of fun and fundraising for the adoptable animals at the

Pet Rescue & Resource Center operated by Hinsdale Humane Society.
