MOM'S LITTLE BLACK BOOK | Looking for a New Favorite Escape? Try Aerial Yoga

AERIAL FUN! I felt like I ran away and joined the circus with a bunch of happy, giggling, silly teenagers. Ahhhh breathe. Aerial yoga might be my new favorite escape - and judging by the positive energy in the room of teens, the spirit was certainly contagious.

Having never tried aerial yoga, we were all a bit hesitant, especially the two teen boys I brought with us to test the laws of gravity. With guided instruction by owners Lorial and Michelle, we all quickly became pros, and learned a variety of new poses that had us hanging upside, perching like a lion in a tree, or lying in a meditative state in a hammock like position. With each new move, we gained confidence in our silk from the ceiling, and the giggles and laughter were such a positive release of energy in our space. We also quickly realized the true workout in aerial yoga while we engaged muscles in our bodies that I am not sure we even knew we had!

This class was geared toward kids ages 9-17 and the step by step instruction, and hands-on support, made even the most uncoordinated person a star for the day! The hour of instruction flew by and we definitely enjoyed taking some Snapchat worthy moments for our social media.

As I was checking out the other offerings at Rising Goddess Fitness, I noticed parties for kids and adults and thought that would be such a unique twist to the age-old ideas. They offer scouting badge opportunities, workshops, events, summer camps, and yes ladies – Pole Fitness. I have to say, when we passed through the Pole Fitness room, I thought about inviting all my readers for a mama adventure that would be sure to be filled with hilarious memories – with the perfect excuse of, “hey honey, I’m going to work out!”

Another highly recommended adventure for just about any age!
