KIDS + TEENS | Élan Dance Company Auditions to be Held May 22


HAVE A DANCER IN THE FAMILY? CHECK OUT ELAN DANCE COMPANY Élan Dance Company, the pre-professional performing dance company of the Naperville Park District’s Dance Academy, is holding auditions for the 2018-2019 season on Tuesday, May 22. Students between the ages of 9 and 18 interested in joining Élan are invited to audition for placement in one of three groups within the company.

Auditions will take place in Room 123 at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at 305 W. Jackson Ave. Specific times for each age group are as follows:

  • Junior Company (ages 9-12) 5:00-6:00 p.m.

  • Apprentice Company (ages 12-15) 6:15-7:15 p.m.

  • Senior Company (ages 14-18) 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Audition packets with detailed instructions and information about the company may be requested from Artistic Director Kristy Meza at kmeza@napervilleparks.org or by calling (630) 848-3618.

In addition to its regular season that begins in September, Elan Dance Company will offer a summer class and will perform pre-shows at the following times at several free, outdoor events:

  • Night at the Movies - Sat., June 30 at 7:45 p.m. at Rotary Hill

  • Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment – Tues., July 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion

  • Carillon Recital – Tues., August 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Millennium Carillon
