LOCAL NEWS | Police Assist in Locating Man with Knife In Wheaton


WHEATON SCHOOL'S PLACED ON LOCK DOWN EARLY TODAY
On March 14, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., the Wheaton Police Department responded to assist the DuPage County Sheriff's Office in attempting to locate a man with a knife in the area of Geneva Road and Gary Avenue.
Wheaton North High School, St. Mark's, and Carl Sandburg Elementary were placed on lockdown. The individual was located and subsequently taken into custody by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

This incident was unrelated to the schools and the lockdown was conducted as a precautionary measure.
