Ana Vera DARE TO CHANGE YOUR STORY Losses and challenges definitely shape Naperville resident and author, Ana Vera’s story, as she feels they do for all of us. When she moved away from her home country, her family life did not end up what she had expected. She has one son with Asperger’s Syndrome and another with autism, and then a husband who was terminally ill. “I became a widow, and I lost everything,” says Ana. “After all I have lived through, though, I take everything life has given me with gratitude and savor the wisdom of each experience.”

Ana has lived in Naperville for ten years with her two sons, and more recently now with her fiancé, Michael. She decided to write about her personal struggles in her book, Dare to Change Your Story, to inspire and comfort other special needs mothers, caregivers and those grieving a loss. It is a story that shows how to transform our problems and overcome challenges to allow us to grow and find our life’s purpose.

“My friends inspired me to write the book,” says Ana. “I also felt a need to work through my emotions during a difficult time in my life and show how I worked through those challenges.”
