58TH ANNUAL FINE ARTS FAIR • June 24-25 This Naperville Woman's Club event will again be Naper Settlement in downtown Naperville (523 S. Webster) from 10am-5pm daily with free admission. Attracting artists using a variety of mediums from all over the country,. Artwork, live music, children’s activities, a silent auction, and an Empty Bowls fundraiser which supports local food pantries, are among the many family-friendly events that will be included. Founded in 1897, NWC is dedicated to promoting community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. EYES TO THE SKIES HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL Lisle, June 30-July 2 The Annual 35th Lisle Eye’s to the Skies Festival is Chicagoland’s favorite family event offering daily morning and evening hot air balloon launches (weather permitting), nightly balloon glows, tethered balloon rides, live music, three nights of fireworks, a huge children’s area, over 50 food vendors, craft show, a carnival plus much more! Drawing more than 80,000 visitors, this popular festival will be held June 30–July 2 at Lisle's Community Park. www.eyestotheskies.org

ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN OPENING WEEKEND Morton Arboretum • May 19-October 22 Dozens of awe-inspiring large-scale metal sculptures based on the traditional Japanese art of paper folding will engage you on paths through the Arboretum’s spectacular landscape. Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21 will feature live performances and activities inspired by Japanese culture. Most events will occur in the Children's Garden from 11am-4pm. www.mortonarb.org

LAKE ELLYN CARDBOARD REGATTA Saturday, July 1 Participants will race their handmade cardboard boats on beautiful Lake Ellyn in Glen Ellyn. Winners are determined by the fastest race times! Awards will also be presented for most creative, team spirit, and best sink! Whether you are building a boat or just out to watch the fun, this family-friendly community event is always a popular Glen Ellyn tradition. Concessions, provided by the Glen Ellyn Fourth of July Committee, will be available for purchase beginning at 11am. Live minnow races will also be available for $1, with proceeds benefiting the Glen Ellyn Park District scholarship fund.
