5K FUN RUN, WALK, WOOF AND ROLL • May 21 • Aurora by Aurora Vets Week Committee Bring your family and friends and show your support by signing up your entire family and most importantly, don’t forget to include “ROVER”…Woof Woof! Active Duty, in Uniform, Military run FREE! All runners receive a t-shirt compliments of Grunt Style, a Veteran Owned and Operated Company. Held at Phillip’s Park Zoo in Aurora.

THE CUPCAKE CLASSIC • May 21 • Downers Grove The VanHoutans of Downers Grove have two children with Batten disease--a neurological rare disease with no known cure. Tracy and his wife Jennifer started Noah's Hope when their 3-year old son, Noah, was diagnosed with Batten about 9 years ago. Now, one of their twin daughters, Laine, also had the disease. The Cupcake Classic (formerly the Run for Hope) will take place at McCollum Park in Downers Grove with a one-mile run for kids and a 5K. This timed run is open to runners and walkers to raise money and awareness about Batten and other rare diseases. All participants receive a cupcake at the finish line. Registration is now open.

COSLEY ZOO RUN FOR THE ANIMALS • June 3 • Wheaton One of the Chicago suburbs’ largest annual runs, the Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K/10K/½-mile returns to downtown Wheaton for its 36th year. Proceeds benefit The Cosley Foundation, Inc., which provides financial support for capital improvements to Wheaton’s five-acre zoo. The first 2,500 runners receive a long-sleeve tech t-shirt. The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K/10K/½-mile is presented by Northwestern Medicine and Bear Paddle Swim School.

PET WALK & RUN 2017 • June 4 • Hinsdale Hinsdale Humane Society’s annual Pet Walk & Run fundraiser returns for the 28th year from 8am-noon at Katherine Legge Memorial Park, 5901 S. County Line Road in Hinsdale. The certified 5K run that debuted last year, provides a scenic route throughout Hinsdale neighborhoods, and begins and ends in Katherine Legge Park.

RUN 4 HOME 5K & 10K, DUPAGE PADS • September 16

Bring your family, friends and coworkers to DuPagePads 13th Annual Run 4 Home. The course will take runners and walkers through scenic streets of Wheaton and back to DuPagePads for a celebration.
