TURN UP THE VOLUME AND GET READY FOR LISLE FEST 2016

Acclaimed country music duo Thompson Square and lauded Colorado alt-rockers Big Head Todd & the Monsters are this year's music headliners at Eyes to the Skies Festival that returns for its 34th year to west suburban Lisle, Ill., on Friday-Sunday, July 1-3. The sprawling and popular event is held at Lisle Community Park, 1825 Short Street. Hours are Noon-11:00 each day. The fest is best known for its visually stunning hot-air balloon shows that attract tens of thousands over its three-day run. In addition to hot-air balloons and two stages of music, the fest also features food, a craft fair, a huge kids' activity and entertainment area, and three nights of fireworks (July 1-3). There's also five days of carnival rides (starting on Wednesday, June 29, through Sunday, July 3). The award-winning duo that is Thompson Square (comprised of Nashville-based husband and wife Keifer and Shawna Thompson) will perform at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, on the fest's Vankampen stage. Big Head Todd & the Monsters, helmed by founder Todd Park Mohr, will perform at 8:00 p.m. on the Vankampen stage on Sunday, July 3. Nearly 20 acts are set to perform on the fest's music stages.
