LOCAL MDs JUGGLING FAMILY AND CAREER

There are many spectacular physicians throughout Chicago’s western suburbs, and here we feature seven of them– all are female M.D.s who can help with your health needs in 2016. SUBURBAN M.D. GAL TO KNOW #1 Dr. Panorea Mathews-Kukla, MD, Pediatrician DuPage Medical Group Local mom Dr. Kukla provides acute and preventative care for newborns, children, and adolescents, also allergy, asthma, infectious disease, ADD/ADHD, child development and behavior, skin disorders. She balances her passion for medicine, leadership and her patients with her dedication and love for her family and says she has created a balance that’s comfortable for her. Dr. Mathews-Kukla lives with her family in the western suburbs.

SUBURBAN M.D. GAL TO KNOW #2 Dr. Nesreen Suwan, MD, Forever 25 Dr. Suwan is board certified in psychiatry and neurology and runs a private practice in the western suburbs. She is a weekly guest speaker on US ARAB RADIO, (medicine and life program) where she discusses important health topics. Dr. Suwan is the mother of 3 daughters. Lara, an International Lawyer in Paris; Dana, an OB-GYN resident at the University of Chicago; and Lana, a junior at Loyola University studying psychology, Spanish and pre-dental studies. SUBURBAN M.D. GAL TO KNOW #5 Dr. Jennifer Hein, MD, FACS The Women’s Institute of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery As the founder, Dr. Hein completed medical school at the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. She performed her surgical residency at Mt Sinai Hospital in Chicago and then completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. She has been in practice for 10 years after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with her residency at University of California. She is the member of the American Board of Pediatrics. SUBURBAN M.D. GAL TO KNOW #7 Nancy E. Whereatt, M.D. Breast Health / Advocate Dreyer Dr. Whereatt's studied at University of Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin. Her internship and residency were at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Whereatt was raised in Wisconsin and is married with two sons.
