This local resident followed his dreams and not only built a career for himself out of his love for music, but continues to soar both professionally and personally.
Marc attended the 55th annual Grammy Week this past year and DJ’d Cee Lo Green’s 7th annual Grammy party. In addition to this, the Naperville resident’s most memorable career moments include remixing and producing music for Hollywood’s hit artists including big names like Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Rihanna. Other credible projects included working with music by Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, A Great Big World, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Fat Boy Slim, Ne-Yo, Taio Cruz, Ludacris, Corey Hart, Chaka Khan, Timbaland Ft. One Republic, and many more.
Growing up, Stout played the drums and listened to all of his father’s records, which inspired his passion to start DJ’ing at homecoming and prom dances, as well as the basketball games while attending Lisle High School. He progressed to graduation parties, then weddings, and got his first big break DJ’ing at Toto’s Nightclub in Schaumburg.
“This eventually led to me entering four WMC “Winter Music Conference” DJ competitions in South Beach, Miami,” Stout says. “I won four years in a row and got hired as a resident DJ at Zero Gravity in Naperville.” He then met Erik Bradley from B96 Chicago and was hired as a B96 mixmaster, cementing his position in the music industry.
Through years of accomplishments as a producer, DJ, remixer, collaborator, radio personality, and label owner (Movement Music), his proudest moments to date include getting married and becoming a father, as well as having a Top 100 song on the iTunes music chart and producing over 30 remixes that have gone #1 on the Billboard dance chart. www.facebook.com/djmixinmarc.
