Giving Back to the Community through Geneva Winery
GENEVA–Rich in heritage, Brent is following in his father’s footsteps as a community enthusiast.
After spending his early years in the Pacific Northwest living on dairy farms, while participating in the Future Farmers of America and Future Business Leaders of America, he showed cows and competed in Dairy Bowls at State Fairs. He soon went off to Washington State University, ventured into a rock band and Symphony Orchestra, owned marketing and design agencies, and ignited his passion for wine.
Fast forward to 2020, married now with two children, he unveiled Geneva Winery. By 2022, he acquired a century-old farm and commenced a vineyard, creating an exquisite venue for weddings and celebrations. In 2023, he opened Geneva Winery Bistro & Wine Bar, and will soon open another in downtown Batavia.
Apart from his winery responsibilities, Brent devotes time to family life on their treasured 6 1/2-acre vineyard. He also coaches wrestling and volunteers at the St. Charles East Wrestling Club. Committed to his son’s sports and my daughter’s softball, they host fundraisers at the winery, and donate to various charities, while also supporting local festivals, Chamber events, donating to Friends of the Vikings Ship, Casa of Kane County, and Kids Chance.
