Springfield’s Comedic Side Revealed in Fictional NovelFrom the drug addict to the pope, we are always seeking God in one form or another. Those are the words of accomplished song-writer, singer, performer, recording artist, musician, author, movie star, television star, and let’s not forget…..a husband of 30 years, father of two, and Hollywood Walk of Fame’s most recent honoree, Rick Springfield. At 64, he loves what he does and he has fun doing it, which is evident by the comedic nature of his second newly released fictional novel, “Magnificent Vibration”. Nearly 500 fans came to meet the celebrity at Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville where he posed for pictures and autographed his book about a man who finds a 1-800 number that provides a direct line to God. The book has been coined as somewhat naughty and obsessed with private parts. “I think religion is sexy (if it’s done right) and I love the idea of religious sexual repression causing all kinds of issues later on in life, because it does,” Springfield says. After personally struggling with depression many years ago, Springfield indeed discovers his lighter, more humorous side, in this funny and spiritual book. “Good comedy comes from looking inside at the mess you are,” he says. “I have always been a spiritual searcher and this is just another quest.” Springfield confirms he will continue his quest with another book in this series; so if you enjoy “Magnificent Vibration”, expect more!
