 Teen Parent Connection Hosts Lullaby Ball Fundraising Event
Celebrate Teen Parent Connection’s 25th Anniversary with “Silver Linings” Theme, Hosted by Sondra Solarte
Teen Parent Connection will host its annual fundraising event, The Lullaby Ball, on April 23rd at Ashton Place in Willowbrook, IL. This year we celebrate our 25th year of service to the DuPage County community. In honor of this milestone, the theme for this year’s Lullaby Ball is “Silver Linings.”
Enjoy a night of silver linings: entertainment, delicious gourmet hors d’oeuvres and carving stations, top-shelf open bar with martini luge, silent auction, and cash raffle – hosted by Fox News Chicago’s Traffic and General Assignment reporter, Sondra Solarte. Miss Solarte hosted Teen Parent Connection’s annual fall event, and struck a relationship so positive that we’ve partnered again for the Lullaby Ball.
Our silent auction includes items like “Page for a Day” at the Capital Building in Springfield, art, in-home wine tastings and a “Stock Your Wine Cellar” basket. Travel packages include a one-week stay in Fort Meyers and weekend stays in the Chicago Loop. Also included are gift certificates to Chicago area restaurants, event planning packages, Cubs and Sox tickets, and many more! Our “Silver Linings” table will include silver jewelry and serving ware – both new and vintage!
This event raises significant funds for Teen Parent Connection, ensuring we will continue to provide comprehensive programs to address teen pregnancy prevention, healthy parenting, and the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
Ticket price $100. Sponsorship and micro-sponsorship opportunities are still available.

Teen Parent Connection serves the community through education on the realities and responsibilities of teenage pregnancy and through long-term assistance to adolescent parents for their development of self-esteem, parenting skills, and empowerment towards self-sufficiency. Since 1985, Teen Parent Connection has provided parenting support services for more than 5,000 adolescent parents. In the most recent program year, more than 400 adolescent parents (ages 13 to 25) and their children were served through our Group, Healthy Families DuPage home visitation, Childbirth Education, and Doula programs. More than 13,000 middle school and high school students heard the pregnancy prevention message. Teen Parent Connection celebrates 25 years of service to DuPage County in 2010.

 "Beautiful Gifts Baby Shower" A Community Event Taking Place Trhoughout the Month of May 2010
Join Glancer Magazine and Champagne!INC for Beautiful Gifts, a unique community baby shower benefitting new teen moms & teen moms-to-be who need our support. Your gift of diapers, formula or educational toys can be donated any time in May to benefit Teen Parent Connection, a local support agency serving adolescent parents (teenparentconnection.org). For a list of Naperville, Wheaton and Glen Ellyn retail “drop off” locations visit www.champagne-event.com. Donations will be acknowledged with one drawing ticket per donor for an overnight stay for two, including dinner at CityGate Grille, courtesy of Hotel Arista. This community baby shower is in the spirit of Mother’s Day and also in celebration of Glancer Magazine’s Publisher, Lindy Kleivo who is expecting a baby June 3rd.
