Many women in our community have undeniably great style plus a dedication to making a difference, with results we can all appreciate. Though each of these women contribute in a unique way, they all have an undeniable style. We hope you get to know our so-stylish local woman for May 2012.

Sara Fix of Hinsdale, Owner of Endure It! Life of Naperville
Sara Fix was previously into running simply “to stay in shape.” But after having met her husband, David, a triathlete, she was inspired to do more. In 1999, she completed her first Ironman, and has never looked back. “I am pretty busy, but I thrive on motion and am loving life,” she reflects.

Sara and David own Endure It! Life (215 S. Washington St., Naperville; 630-305-6771; endureitlife.com), which serves as yoga studio and retail store, carrying out-of-the-ordinary workout clothes, and everyday wear as well. “Where I feel the most passion is helping people break into the sport,” she explains. “I love … inspiring the athlete in all of us.”

As a Naperville business owner, Sara appreciates the power of patronizing independent merchants. “I encourage people to support the small guys,” she explains, because “we offer the value of the personal touch.”

“Nervous to take a first ride on your bike? I will go with you. Anxious about race check-in? I want to be there to give you support and advice. Not sure how to improve your running speed? Join my Joy Of Running Run Club.”

As a Hinsdale resident, Sara aims to support Hinsdale’s local merchants and engage in their town as much as possible. “I love Hinsdale.
