Glancer Magazine Launches SaveMoneyHoney.com
Introducing Local Consumers to Local Merchants with a
Unique and Simple Weekly Savings and Shopping Concept

WEST SUBURBAN CHICAGO – Glancer Magazine, publisher of community living magazines for Naperville, Wheaton/Glen Ellyn and Downers Grove (mo. circ. 50,000) launched SaveMoneyHoney.com earlier today, a west suburban-based online savings website that lists electronic Savings Cards available for purchase from SaveMoneyHoney.com at substantial discounts and redeemable at local merchants.

“This community site is a great place for our residents to shop and save locally. Because our monthly magazines are not quite “coupon mailers” we are missing a huge demand by our readers. People want (and need) to save locally, especially in today’s economy. This site will introduce local consumers to local merchants in an effective way, while promoting the merchants, building their branding efforts and helping them gain more traffic and new customers,” said Lindy Kleivo, Glancer Magazine’s Founding Publisher & Editor and the founder of SaveMoneyHoney.com

The site will include Savings Cards available for purchase at one week intervals, with a new categorized Savings Card listing sent every Monday, with daily emails sent throughout the week. All Savings Cards expire 6 months from the time of purchase and have limited disclaimers. Categories include, but are not limited to, Arts & Entertainment, Automotive, Babies & Kids, Boutiques & Gifts, Dining & Cabaret, Family Fun, Fashion & Style, Health & Beauty, Home & Garden, Pet Needs, Technology, Travel & Leisure and more.

The site will also include a weekly blog written by Honey, the Money Saver – Naperville area resident and mom of 3, Sue Coates. There is no cost for merchant participation and merchants qualify for cash back incentives & magazine advertising credits based on the merchant level they participate in– Platinum, Gold or Silver.

“This is really a great concept for both merchants and the consumer. When we were approached to participate as a merchant, we were very impressed with the program and jumped at the opportunity to be involved. It is simplified, compared to some of the other daily deal sites which we have tried in the past, and it will give many more options to the consumer. We also liked that our listing would be exclusive to our category when reserved, and that it would be online for an entire week, giving consumers a chance to tell friends to check it out.
