Glancer Magazine Announces Three New Columnists
April 13, 2009 – Glancer Magazine, Inc., publisher of two local area community living magazines (The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Glancer) announces 3 new columnists this week. Michelle LeBlanc, Hilary Decent and Kristen Kurcharski will be contributing to the monthly magazine beginning this May.
“I am both pleased and honored to have these three local individuals on our editorial team. Our readers have a lot to look forward to this year. This is just one of many exciting additions to come,” said Lindy Kleivo, Glancer Magazine Founder/Publisher.
Columnist Michelle LeBlanc of the Naperville Cultural Center joins us with the publication’s new Get Fit Corner. Her column, titled Get Fit Naperville, will provide monthly updates and easy tips to getting fit. The concept of Get Fit Naperville is to encourage getting fit in a non-intimidating, natural way. The first month will feature an introduction to Get Fit Naperville and it’s founder, Carla Linder-Mayer. Every month following, Michelle will highlight quick and easy fitness suggestions that anyone could incorporate into their lives or feature a success story. Each month will also have a calendar item, a fitness tip and a GFN web address.
Naperville resident and British writer Hilary Decent joins us with a regular new column – Happy with Grumpy: One Local Lady Shares on Love & Marriage. Each month Hilary will be taking a humorous look at her life with her husband, Grumpy. As you get to know them, Grumpy considers himself to be the voice of reason in their marriage, while Hilary tends to act first and think later. To celebrate Mother’s Day in her debut issue, Hilary recalls the day she became a mom 25 years ago.
Naperville mom Kristen Kucharski joins us with her column titled, Mom's Little Black Book. This monthly feature will be written for moms who are looking for ways to keep their kids busy. Each month, Kristen will unveil many Naperville secrets, perfect for the always-on-the-go mom. Most people are surprised to find out there are hundreds of nearby places to go with the kids. Her goal with Mom’s Little Black Book is to share with others her own personal adventures. Her days are never dull, her kids are never bored, and her husband is happy with their frugal adventure budget.
