FUN EVENTS AT
ELI’S CHEESECAKE WORLD
The beautiful days of May bring outdoor activities, but in the Midwest it’s always nice to have a backup plan. Eli’s Cheesecake World offers a little something of both during the summer season. Beginning June 14 and running through October 25, the Eli’s and Wright College Farmers’ Market is held each Thursday from 7a.m. to 1p.m., with food vendors, jewelry, crafts and more. I refer to adventures like this as “a little something for you, and a little something for me.” In the past, this farmers’ market has included balloon artists, inflatables, face painters, and many activities for kids. It also has great fashion accessories, food, and crafts for mom to explore.
We took our day indoors, as well, enjoying a great interactive tour of the bakery, offered year round. We came home with the greatest cheesecake ever, as it was personalized by my daughter. As a part of the daily Tasting and Traditions event held within Eli’s Cheesecake World, customers can learn about the history of Eli’s and enjoy a tasting of cheesecakes that are in the making. If you pay attention to the video closely enough, you just might gain enough knowledge to win the trivia contest and earn yourself a ticket to create your very own cheesecake topped with as much frosting, candies, and cookies as your heart desires. My daughter was the lucky one! Although the back lot tour of the bakery is currently not available until further notice, Tasting and Traditions and the café are open daily.
Mark the calendar for June 17 at 8:30 a.m. and join Dad on a Father’s Day Breakfast and Bike Ride. The ten-mile recreational ride will begin at Eli's Cheesecake World and explore Portage Park, Wright College and Chicago’s northwest side neighborhoods. Continental breakfast for all participants will be served at 8:45 a.m., and participants will receive a free T-shirt (while supplies last).
Eat, play, ride, and explore at Eli's Cheesecake World, 6701 W. Forest Preserve Drive, Chicago, IL 60634. Call 773-736-3417 or visit www.elicheesecake.com for more information. Drop in tours are at 1 p.m. daily.
