Position: Assistant to the Publisher (Admin/Marketing)

The Publisher needs help taking Glancer Magazine to the next level! Be part of a fast-growing company and work alongside the magazine's founding publisher, and other office team members. This is an opportunity to learn everything you ever wanted to know about magazine publishing. Candidate should be eager to learn new things, with experience in the areas of administration, general office management and accounting. An interest in advertising sales, marketing, editorial and production is a plus, as candidate will assist with customer service, editorial research, basic writing, and coordination of production aspects. Ideal candidate should be organized, outgoing and self-driven. We are looking for someone who can bring new ideas to the office as far as improving production times, operating more efficiently on the administrative level and enhancing both our subscription and distribution program.  This individual will wear many hats and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a small, but fast-faced office, with a focus on assisting the publisher with each aspect of the magazine, including working with the editorial team, the photography team, outside vendors, etc.

Assistant to the Publisher Requirements
. Minimum of 1-3 years of successful assistant experience.
. Desire and passion for the publishing/advertising industry.

Sell advertising for one of the fastest growing local advertising vehicles today- community living magazines. First-year earning projections are $45-$60k. Seasoned top producing reps earn more than 100k. We do not believe in income caps, which means your growth and income are unlimited, and determined by your ability and effort.
