While “lifestyle” magazines tend to dominate communities of strict affluence, Lindy has filled a niche by creating a publication model which targets a diverse, more densely populated target audience with both affluent and middle-class buying power. Because women represent the world's largest spending market, the magazine is primarily designed to attract this demographic.
Lindy grew up in Lisle, Illinois and lived in nearby Naperville for several years. Her career began as the Marketing Manager at an area trade exchange. She then worked in commercial real estate as a Director of Marketing and Spokesperson for a major Chicago developer. Lindy is currently the magazine’s editor.
Her dream of launching a magazine with meaning became reality in December of 2001 when production on Everything! Naperville began. In February of 2002 more than 48 advertisers participated in the magazine’s launch. Today, the magazine continues to fill a niche in the local marketplace and has grown more than 300%. Plans to expand on both a regional and national level are currently in progress.
Lindy is married with one toddler. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and focusing on creative outlets such as photography, scrap booking, writing poetry and home decorating. |
