ART EXHIBIT AT WHEATON COLLEGE
The Art Department at Wheaton College presents an exhibit titled "Quilt" by Jeremy Botts. Jeremy Botts is an assistant professor of graphic design at Wheaton College. The exhibit will be displayed in the Hansen Main and Small Galleries located on the first floor of Adams Hall. Adams Hall is located in the center of campus, north of Blanchard Hall. USED SPORTS EQUIPMENT SALE
The Wheaton Park District is hosting a new and gently used sports equipment sale. Sale proceeds benefit the park district’s Leisureship Program which was developed to make aquatic facilities and recreation programs available to all Wheaton Park District residents regardless of their economic situation. Donations of new and gently used sports equipment including soccer balls (size 3, 4 and 5), shin guards, baseball and softball gloves, aluminum and wooden bats, and baseballs and softballs are being accepted at the Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard Road through March 5, 2011. 10-1pm. The other equipment drop-off location is Arrowhead Golf Club, 26W151 Butterfield Road, Wheaton.

BOOK CLUB MEETING
The featured book for the month of March is authored by Vincent Cannato and is titled, American Passage.The Bookstore in downtown Glen Ellyn has purchased copies of "American Passage" for resale and if additional copies are needed, they would be happy to order them. The Glen Ellyn Library has copies of Cannato's book as well and will order for the patron if the copies are not available. All interested readers are invited to attend the book club. Leaders are Kay Potenza, Suzanne Carty and Diane Saul. At the March meeitng, the group will plot out a tentative book list for the rest of the bi - monthly meetings in 2011. 3RD ANNUAL GO FLY A KIT EVENT
Last April, the Wheaton Park District held the 2nd Annual Go Fly a Kite event. Area residents attempted to break the previous year’s record of 800 kites flown simultaneously, and we did it! With over 1200 participants and onlookers a record number of 843 kites were flown in the air simultaneously. This year, on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 11am to 3 pm in Graf Park, we will attempt to beat last year’s record of 843 kites. Visit www.wheatonparkdistrict.com.

BILLY GRAHAM MUSEUM EXHIBIT
The Billy Graham Center Museum welcomes the return of A Brush with the Eternal, featuring twenty-six original oil paintings and giclées by world-renowned artist Ron DiCianni. DiCianni is famous for his thought-provoking artwork depicting biblical events and spiritual themes in contemporary settings. The exhibit will be on display through August 3. The museum is open 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday. There is a suggested donation of $4 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, $1 for children and $10 for a family. The Billy Graham Center Museum is located at 500 College Avenue, Wheaton.
