Spring Girls Weekend DOWNTOWN NAPERVILLE

A weekend of fashion, food & fun for gals & their pals! The weekend features special sales, special events - like fashion shows, wine tasting, cooking classes and more - geared for ladies of all ages! EXCHANGE CLUB BREAKFAST

The Exchange Club of Naperville will host its annual "One Nation Under God" breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 at Meson Sabika, 1025 Aurora Ave. The guest speaker will be Kris Habermehl from WBBM and CBS Channel 2. Several individuals, organizations and businesses will be given prestigious awards for their outstanding acts of patriotism, and all are welcome to attend and pay honor to these outstanding individuals. The cost is $15; reservations should be made by Saturday, February 19. BIDS FOR KIDS AUCTION

Little Friends will host its 35th Annual Bids for Kids Benefit Auction at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Hilton Lisle-Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive. As Little Friends commemorates its 35th Annual Bids for Kids Auction, the agency invites guests to celebrate the very best of the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. Festivities will include cocktails, dinner, silent auction and a rousing live auction led by Auctioneer Greg Dellinger and 95.9 The River's Danielle Tufano. Guests will also enjoy dancing and entertainment. Premiere seating tickets, which include a prominent table location for dinner and auction activities, are available for $125. VIENNA BOYS CHOIR

Audience members can hear the voices of Austria's historic Vienna Boys Choir for the first time in North Central College's acoustically stunning Wentz Concert Hall. The Vienna Boys Choir performance begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 in Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $50 and $40. NAPERVILLE COMMUNITY GARDENERS PROGRAM

The Naperville Community Gardeners invite the public to its Monday, March 7 program "Green Roof and Green Walls" presented by Kevin Crist from Intrinsic Landscaping. The program is free and follows the monthly meeting. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane. ST. PATRICK'S DAY-THEMED EVENT

Gather your "green" and come celebrate downtown wearing green for the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration! MAPLE SUGARING DAYS

See the time-honored method of collecting sap and making maple syrup the old-fashioned way during Maple Sugaring Days being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. YOUNG ARTISTS SHOWCASE

Mayor A. George Pradel and the Naperville Sister Cities Commission is announcing a call for entries for the Young Artists Showcase competition, which is open to Naperville residents as well as Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204 students between 13 and 18 years of age by April 30, 2011. The deadline for entries is Friday, March 18, 2011. All completed artwork and entry paperwork should be brought to the Mayor's Office at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. KIWANIS CLUB PANCAKE FESTIVAL AND RAFFLE

The Naperville Evening Kiwanis Club will host its 56th annual Pancake Festival and Raffle at 7am in the cafeteria of Naperville Central High School, 440 Aurora Ave. This fun-filled, family event features all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausages as well as a children's activity area and a raffle. Tickets may be purchased in advanced for $5 at Casey's Foods and Oswald's Pharmacy in Naperville Plaza, the DuPage Children's Museum, Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville or from any Naperville Kiwanis member. ACAPPELLAGO PRESENTS “ESCAPE to....THE MOVIES”

Acappellago presents "Escape to...The Movies," an a cappella celebration of film music. Concert is held at the Naperville Congregational Church, 1 Bunting Lane, 4 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2011. KIDSMATTER JOB FAIR
Need a Job?  The KidsMatter Job Fair is THE one-stop place for young people to find seasonal & summer jobs. Looking to build your resume, participate in an internship, practice a mock interview, start your own business, check out vocational fields?Then this free event is for you! Scheduled for Wednesday, March 23, from 5 to 7:30 PM in Merner Fieldhouse on the North Central College campus, this Fair provides job opportunities as well as workshops and other experiences to prepare students for the workforce.  Last year’s Fair attracted over 1,500 students.  This event is sponsored by a grant from The DuPage Community Foundation and is supported by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.  Illinois Energy Windows & Siding, Glancer Magazine, Illinois State Representative Darlene Senger and Chicagoland Pool Management are the Fair’s business sponsors.
